i was standing in a parking lot when Yasu-san from japan came up to me and asked if he can buy a tshirt. i didn’t know who Yasu-san was, but now i do. thank you Yasu-san for supporting the earthquake/tsunami victims. WE ARE ONE!
**wanted to say something to all japanese surfers. i heard the japanese government and JPSA is saying to stay out of the water. gosh, i’m stuck in the middle of that one. first, yes, i bet it’s still dangerous because of the aftershock earthquakes that might send another tsunami. second, if something happens, your taking the valuable resources of medical aid that could be used elsewhere. and last, if you surf, a lot of people in japan will look down at you and think your either crazy, or stupid. for me? i would go back to surfing. why? because that’s my life. it sounds kind of selfish but i’m just being honest. i know that it’s impossible to keep surfers out of the ocean because it’s like trying to keep monkeys out of the forest. no way. what can be done? well, maybe the japanese government and the JPSA should team up and find out when would be a good day to open up the ocean again. call it Surf Revival Day? that way, it will give the thousands of surfers in japan something to look forward too. then they can get back to their daily routine without being looked down on. refreshing their body and souls with hope. if this ever happens, please let me know when that date is because i will try my hardest to be there. i’ve probably said “Keep on Surfing” a thousand of times in my life and i really mean it. “KEEP ON SURFING!”
Keep on Surfing….
Thank you!
good evening. finally got the tshirts in and guess what? SOLD OUT!!! yeah, sold out in 1 day. the shipment is going out tomorrow and if you we didn’t get to yours, we will on monday. the printers are printing more this weekend and the next shipment should be at the post office on tuesday. gosh, i’m so busy but this busy is so rewarding. i’m so happy to be able to help japan and it’s beautiful people. and the more exciting thing is that there is so much support coming in from japan. you are all great people and now that i look at the “WE ARE ONE” tshirt i’m wearing, and the sticker on my surfboard, i know truly that WE ARE ONE! thank you for all the support around the world. i hope you get your tshirt in the first shipment but if not, you will get it for sure in the next one.
tomorrow morning there will be a “Aloha for Japan” rally at the duke statue in waikiki. hope you can make it there! so many people in hawaii are getting involved in supporting japan. this bond is unbreakable! show up and show your support!
i have a favor to ask. can anybody in japan tell me what’s going on in the areas that were devastated? the news tells me one thing and my friends tell me another. but i want deeper information. is there help? are there people starving? are there people freezing? i want to help the people who really need help and so does the rest of hawaii. please give me information so i can pass it along to others and we can take action!
anyway, gotta get back to folding and packing tshirts. thank you once again for your support. good things happen to good people, and your all good people!
