good evening. gosh, what a long day!! i left my house before 5am and when i pulled up to haleiwa, the sunrise was freaking amazing. looked like a volcano or something. a great way to start off a diving day…
i’ve been diving with kyle a lot. and when ever we dive, we seem to catch fish. today travis came too so we caught more fish..
owning a boat is like having a girlfriend that likes chanel, gucchi, louis vetton, and christian dior. i don’t even know how to spell it. but yeah, owning a boat is high maintenance. you have to keep up or your boat will fall apart like a bad relationship… get it? kyle takes good care of his. my boat? not so good. haha…
**from here, i switched to my olympus camera but am too dam tired to download the photos and videos. all i can say is that i swam with about 40 dolphins, speared a pretty big fish, and had a great day in the underwater world. photos coming tomorrow if i can wake up…
last, this is how i drove home from the north shore. i was stuck in traffic the whole way home and get this. 3 guys pulled up to the side of me and asked me where i caught that fish. i told them at “foodland” as a joke and one guy actually got pissed off. haha… i never share secret spots to strangers… you shouldn’t either. i have to go and eat some fresh sashimi now. have a great evening…
Dolphins and Fish….
Early Morning….
Haleiwa Sunrise!!!
Pole Spearing a Sailfish….
good morning. 4am and it’s time to leave. going to the north shore for a diving adventure. be back later hopefully with some dinner. have a nice day….
traveling with 20 people on a boat can be hard sometimes. you got pretty much no privacy and you have to get along whether you like it or not. i’ve been pretty lucky to be on boats with awesome people. i couldn’t imagine being on a boat for 2 weeks with an asshole. that would suck… anyway, this was timor last year and i don’t think anybody had one complaint. it was too good to be true….
and when half of the crew on the boat are girls, it makes it much easier. i guess the girls keeps the boys in line??? haha… as for this photo, it was time for blue crush to charge. the waves at this secret spot was solid 6′ and crazy. i remember telling them that this is their chance and they took it. i got kind of worried when i seen a 6′ double up freak set come in and break on their heads. i guarantee that they will never ever forget that. me too…. good job blue crush….
and last, this photo came out in the new hawaii skin diver magazine. this is our surf guide marty. he caught this huge swordfish in shallow water. as the crew was getting the gaff out, i grabbed my pole spear. travis and i shot it in the head a few times and this fish had no chance. skin diver style… after the captain seen that, he said that he wanted to buy my pole spear. i hope he knows that it’s not that easy to use.. haha…
