i was watching them film Magnum P.I this morning at Bowls.  the production crew took up the whole parking lot and beach.  after that, one of my local friends told me that the production company gave the locals some beer and a very generous monetary gift for using the beach.  i thought that was super cool of them!

once again, i couldn’t believe how good the waves were today! it was so perfect!  who said the summer is over?  haha…

these are the types of shots i’m looking for.  i want to get behind the curtain and show you what i’m looking at when i go over the wave cheering on my friends.  here’s Troy getting ready to get barreled!  i’m starting to love to shoot photos again.  can’t wait for tomorrow!

so happy to get updates from Toda-san in Ishinomaki.  here he is checking the waves with Azumi-san.  it’s funny how we look for waves to foil.  if we see a knee high junky wave, we get super excited.  haha.  

gosh, that looks so fun!  i wish i can foil with you boys soon.  that’s my dream!  

and my dream is to have a BBQ with you guys too.  Japanese BBQ’s are the best!  i really miss this…

and OMG, look at Hiyori-chan!  she’s a woman now!  omg, i can’t believe how fast she grew up.  she’s so beautiful and i bet her personality is exactly like her Mom.  haha.  

this is the Hiyori-chan i remember most.  this cute little girl with a strong mind.  i still remember trying to give her a hug on her last day after staying at my house in Hawaii.  i dropped her off at the airport and when i was going to give her a goodbye hug, she turned and ran away.  haha.  the airport staff thought i was a crazy old man.  i was kind of embarrassed, but that was super funny.  a girl with a pure heart from the countryside which i hope it stays that way forever…
