Fine Tuning

i finally found the straps i’ve been looking for!  it took me a long time but i never gave up.  gonna mount these on my tow-in board and get ready for the winter swells!

i also took apart all of my foil equipment, oiled it, and put it back together.  something you should always do once a month.

if you love something, take care of it.  i love foiling so i’m taking care of it…

Childhood Rivals

i was watching Joshua and Shun’s heat this morning at the US Open.  of course i’m hoping both of these boys advance to the next round.  these boys are childhood friends.  when they first met, Joshua couldn’t speak Japanese and Shun couldn’t speak English.  it was so fun watching them communicate and become good friends.  so to see them both in the same heat on the biggest surfing platform, i was a very proud uncle.

they both surfed super good as i was screaming watching it from my computer.  it was so amazing!   look at Joshua’s turn!!!

as i was hoping, both of the boys advanced to the next round.  first and second place is all we need.  i can’t wait to see them battle again!  good job boys!

an epic evening at Diamond Head Cliffs.  so good!!!
