Ala Moana chest high and good.
Diamond Head shoulder high and fun.
North shore chest high and good.
Trade winds at 20mph.
Sunny and warm.

Early Bird Addict

i’ve been addicted to surfing early in the morning.  maybe because i always wanted longer days?  so heading out in the dark does make my days a little longer.  and the longer, the better…

the conditions are usually much better too.  and when the golden sun starts to rise and hits your face, it the best feeling ever.  i can’t describe how happy it makes me…

Shot of the Day: Dave Shoji

Dave Shoji is probably the most famous coach in Hawaii history.  he coached the University of Hawaii volleyball team for 42 years and won 4 National Championships for the school.  i’ve been seeing him out in the water a few times but didn’t know who it was him.  now i know so if he paddles for a wave, i’ll just watch his rides.  the whole island of Hawaii has lots of respect for Coach Shoji and so do i.  i’m glad he’s enjoying his retired life as a surfer.  cool…
