Busted in Paradise

a couple from Hawaii got caught red handed collecting illegal aquarium fish.  thank goodness the DNLR caught them in the act because it’s people like this that rape the ocean.  and when they rape the ocean, the future generations will suffer.  so i was pretty happy to see them get caught.  and on top of getting caught, the got fined $272,000!  that might seem like a lot of money, but what they could have gotten away with would have been irreversible…

the married couples names are Stephen Howard and Yukako Toriyama.  shame on you guys!

after a week of everyday epic waves at Jurassic Park, the ocean has calmed down so it will be flat for the next few days.  now i don’t have to drive so far, don’t have to paddle so hard, and don’t have to have my eyes stinging all night.  it’s back to the calmness of town.  but once Jurassic’s turns on again, i’ll be the first one there!

Back to Town…

Good morning 4:40am.
North shore waist high and bumpy.
Ala Moana waist to chest high and clean.
Diamond Head head high and super bumpy.
Strong trade winds at 30mph.
Sun, showers, and huge rainbows.
Going to the ocean.
Have a wonderful day!

ONE LAST WAVE OF DEATH

today was another day at Jurassic Park.  i went down earlier than anybody else and was the first in the parking lot.  i was too excited.   haha.  waves were super good again, bigger and better!

Kaiborg riding out the storm.  it was so windy that it was hard to paddle back out.  once again, only the strong survive on days like this…

then i went to check out town and after i saw the perfect offshore waves this evening, i couldn’t resist.  i was the only foiler and had the whole empty swells to myself.  i foiled into the sunset!

then i came home and turned on the news.  omg, a tree fell on the road and smashed cars right where i was today.  this happened right before 10am and i passed by this exact same spot at that time too!  it must had happened right after i passed by.  omg!!!

thank goodness nobody died.  and thank goodness i didn’t catch one more wave.  that could have been me…
