Unmanned Ocean Vehicle

i was at the Yacht club yesterday and came across this strange vessel.  looked super weird!  come to find out, this is an Unmanned Science Vehicle.  it’s literally a ocean drown that is operated by GPS.  so this thing was floating in the ocean for weeks and finally made it to Waikiki.  that’s a scary thought because i drive Mayuki pretty fast in the pitch dark all the time and wouldn’t be able to see this.  and if i hit it, i would destroy millions of dollars of technology.  omg…while i was watching the boys dive, i checked out Seth’s new fishing pole.  the top of the line equipment so i thought i’d try it out.   i put the line out in the water and something seemed wrong.  when i looked at it, the line was wrapped around his pole!  Seth lined it up wrong!   i was laughing so hard…and when Seth came out of the water after a dive, i saw a coral stuck to his wetsuit.  he didn’t even know it was there.  haha.  this kid still makes me laugh…

Diamond Head, Mayuki, and Me.  Same spot, same time…

Good morning 4:20am.

Ala Moana waist high and good.

Diamond Head chest high and bumpy.

Trade winds 10mph in the morning and getting stronger this afternoon.

Sun, clouds, and super hot!

Going to the sea.

Have a wonderful day!

Typhoon Calling…

they finally got the sailboat out of the water.  but when i surfed Bowls this morning, i could still see debris in the ocean, and i could still smell oil.  yuck…from a beautiful sailboat to rubbish.  such a waste…i went down today to secure Mayuki for the upcoming hurricane this weekend.  supposed to be some huge waves and strong winds.  i’ll be watching her really good…Sunday afternoon will be the windiest, and sometime between tomorrow and Monday will be heavy rain.  i hope nobody panics!  just keep calm and let Mother Nature take her course…
