this is a very crowded morning at Ala Moana Bowls.
Benji Brand is one of the best barrel riders in the whole world. now, he just got hooked into free diving. for the past 3 months, he’s been going everyday. so it was pretty cool having him on the boat because a spearfishing dive trip was very new to him. he was smiling the whole entire time!
our first stop was this huge GT cave i found a few years ago. since Benji hasn’t speared a GT yet, this was his chance. i explained to him how to approach the cave and said just be prepared because you have no idea what could be in there.
this time, nothing. but next time, there could be a monster in there! i checked this cave 5 times and twice there were GT’s in there. so the probability of getting one is pretty good!

paddling out in the dark is pretty cool. foiled Bowls and like always, had so much fun!
came in at 6:15am and i was totally satisfied with foiling. but wasn’t satisfied with the sailboat still being there. i hope the government is making them pay for each day it sits there because there is no reason it should still be there after 3 days.
Carter and i ordered a board from Vesso and it finally came just now! so stoked!
Gen Asano is a really good shaper who learned and is still learning from the very best. i only hear good things about this boards and that’s why i ordered one. Carter’s color is super cool!
Gen is really good with the resin coloring. it’s pretty personalized so there won’t be another board in the world exactly like this.
fins on and i’m going to test it out tomorrow! can’t wait to ride the “love seat!”
