The Agony of Defeat…

foiling is similar to shortboarding because you can do maneuver after maneuver.  check out my friend raising his hands up.  he’s lucky i didn’t run him over.  haha…foiling is like lonboarding because you can actually walk the board.  walk more up is more speed.  walk more back is wipeout.  haha…one of my friends just started to foil.  this was his third time.  i was foiling on the side of him yelling!  then he looked at me and had the biggest wipeout ever.  i forgot to tell him to “look forward!”  haha…we’ve been foiling spots all over the island we’ve never even cared about before.  and now, we’re the first ones out and having the most fun.  it’s addicting to look at the ocean in a different way now… came home and Mateus did his chores.  his gardenia tree is huge!!!we picked a dozen flowers and that ended up our sweet day…

Happy US…

another day, another spot.  in fact, today was the first time i foiled here so i was a little nervous.  maybe that’s why i woke up at 3am?  met Carter there in the dark…omg, the South swell came up and the waves were perfect just as we expected!  Kaiborg and i are texting from 4am making sure we meet up at the best spot.  this was our first wave of the morning at the best spot…Carter’s first time here too so it was a great learning experience for us.  this will definitely be in our Top 3 foiling spots on the island…Kaiborg foils every morning no matter what or where.  he’s the one who told me about this spot so i’m pretty grateful for that…good to see Peter King too.  this guy makes me laugh every time i talk to him.  i jumped back into foiling everyday because i’ve been hanging out with a very good and positive group.  i’m pretty sure we’re the happiest guys in the ocean!
