i went to our family dinner at Kelia’s house and was greeted with a welcome drink. it was so strong!!!
it’s so cool to see the kids growing up and still loving Christmas so much…
i started off at the pupu table. local style…
my 2 beautiful Nieces told us that they were going to cook and prepare everything this year. wow, that was a first!!! Thank you Kelia and Temari!
fresh squid luau. the squid from the ocean and the luau leaves from the mountain. 10 hours went into this if you include me diving for the tako.
slow cooked kalua pig. it took the girls 15 hours to make this!
then cutting up the salmon, tomatoes, onions, and creating the best lomilomi salmon in the world!
it was the first time these girls did everything, and hopefully not the last…
this was my first plate. i ended up going back for more 3 times!
then we had a special birthday to celebrate. surprise!
Kaira loves Hawaiian food and she loves Christmas. i had a great time with my family and next week will be our New Year’s Party. i wonder what the girls are going to make? haha…

this is a typical morning. starting off very dark and everybody anxious to get into the ocean.
10 minutes later, it’s starting to get lighted up and it’s a race to the sea…
Nao-san wants to surf anytime at any day so every minute is a treat for her.
the waves were pretty good this morning. i was surprised to see a lot of waves and nice conditions.

Nao-san bought some new Akila Aipa twin fins and just loves the feeling of her board now…
we always like to try new places so today we tried this hole in the wall in Chinatown. it was delicious!

this was on the menu so we had to try it. i can’t even explain what was inside but it turned out to be very refreshing!
then continued on to the afternoon and surfed with Ken-san. still good waves and excellent riding…
this is what surfers do on Christmas Eve, we surf! thank you guys for the wonderful day and want to wish my family and friends in Japan a Merry Christmas! we will celebrate ours in Hawaii tomorrow. can’t wait!
