my foil board surely makes a great table!
fresh papaya/pineapple smoothie for the morning start. i’m so happy to see that companies in Bali are being environmentally friendly. i’d never thought i’d see the day plastics will go away here. but here’s a start! welcome the paper straw!
Mike Woo is a perfectionist. and when it comes to a foil board, that’s all what i want. i ordered 3 brand new boards and they all look perfect!
Mike not only shapes, he makes the foam blanks, and can even glass a board from start to finish. so he knows the whole process…
the special part about his blanks is it’s high density foam. that means you can just put the boxes right into the board and keep it light.
this is the first time i used Creature of Leisures deck pads and i love them! this is the Mick Fanning pad and it fits my foot like a perfect shoe…
this morning, i had the rice soup meal…
you see the coolest things on the streets. here are chickens heading to the bbq.
everytime i see chickens, it reminds me of Rikita-san. he loves Maui Mike’s so maybe i’ll send him a couple of these from Bali Mike’s. haha.
Foil Table, Paper Straws, and Bali Mike’s…
Gelato and FU@K ME!
this is one of the most busiest gelato stands in the world. every time i pass by, there’s been a super huge crowd and long line. so the curious side of me had to see what all the hype is about.
finally i get to try it. chocolate chip and chocolate mint double scoop. yup, it’s worth every minute of the wait.
night markets are my favorite places to eat. just walk around and try everything. i saw this guy fanning some sheep so stopped and took a seat.
sheep and beer is an amazing combination.
then to the miaayam. a fresh bowl of noodle soup for $1.
i sat in the back watching this guy make the soup. very simply done and very organized.
then i was watching him wash the dishes. using those 2 buckets all night long. so here is where i think a lot of people must get food poisoning. you have to understand that he’s not using bottled water to wash the dishes and you’re eating right off that bowl. but yeah, it’s worth the risk. and check out his hat???
FU%K ME? wow, i want a hat like this. haha…
like i said before, spend a little more for a hotel, and get a whole lot more…
and want to tell all my family and friends in Japan to be really careful. i’ve been tracking typhoons for 30 years and this one is one of the most dangerous i’ve ever seen. please stay indoors and be safe…
What to do in Indonesia
pretty cool setup at this hotel i’m staying at. the prices at hotels in Bali are 1/4 of the ones in Hawaii. so my advice is to spend a little more to get a lot more…
and you should always include the breakfast options because it’s amazing. started off with hot milk tea and fresh watermelon juice…
then my nashi goren which is Indonesia fried rice. after a nice breakfast like this, it’s time to go to the beach.
and as much as you can, go get a massage. a 1 hour foot and shoulder massage will only cost you $6. and a good shiatsu massage will only cost $5. so why not right? but this girl doesn’t look too happy massaging my stink feet. haha.
i was texting Kelia and Seth during the contest. so fun to communicate with these kids now days. and so happy to see them having a good time in France. i couldn’t believe they rushed the interview and almost broke down the wall. good thing i wan’t there because it would have broken down for sure. haha.
i want to congratulate my friend Carter for getting his black belt in Gracie Jujitsu! i know how hard he trained and focused to reach this ultimate dream. so as of today, i will hire him to be my bodyguard. haha… congratulations Carter!
