Adios Amigos!

stoked to see some photos of my Josh Moniz surfing huntington beach at the US Open.

little kid doing big turns. good boy Josh!

all the things i learn about diving and all the experiences in mexico i hope to teach to the kids someday. i’m still learning day by day and that’s the cool thing about the ocean. you can never master it. learn from these experiences and hopefully it can make you a better decision maker both in and out of the water.

i have to say the setup for diving here is amazing. people from all over the world come here to free dive. there are 5 world record fish that came out of here. amazing place!

Kyle and Jonathan. two awesome divers and two awesome people!

the cool thing about traveling is you meet people from all walks of life. you become friends with new people, and you become better friends with the people you already know. i’m glad i got to come on this dive trip last minute because it surely opened my eyes to the world of free diving. i know i need better equipment to land that big fish, and i know i need to work on going deeper and staying down longer. by next year, my goal is to dive 100′ comfortably, and to hold my breath for over 3 minutes. all this without throwing up or blacking out.
so adios amigos! i had a great time and hope to dive with you all again. thank you Kyle and Cathy Nakamoto at Red Sea Ocean Adventures for planning such an amazing trip, thank you Palapas Ventana for the beautiful castila and service, thank you to everybody else that made this trip so memorable. mucho gracias!
Did you see the sunset and dolphins???

omg, the golden sunsets have been amazing every morning. we didn’t have to wake up early today so the golden rays shining in my bedroom window awakened me. what a wonderful way to start the day.

then we load the boat and head out for a dive. the manta rays jumping, and the dolphins swimming by. this place is so amazing!

Captain Yoni, Kyle, Cathy, and James were the crew for today. 5 days straight of hard core diving. after 65 dives a day, longest bottom time of 2 minutes, and 73′ deep, i feel like a fish. now i need a lot of water, rest, and a nice king size bed with nobody snoring out loud.
summer is still here so travel is crazy. flights are FULL! i’m going to try to get out of mexico tomorrow and find a way to make it back to hawaii before i work on august 1st. might have to zigzag around the world and if worst comes to worst, i’ll swim home. have a great evening!
