Good morning 6am.
Solid 6′ over swell on the North shore.
Morning sickness but good enough for the contest! ON at 8am at Haleiwa.
South shore waist high with bigger sets in the afternoon.
Overcast, cloudy now becoming sunny later.
Eat breakfast, go surfing, eat lunch, go surfing, pack, go airport.
Long day!
Have a good one!

Backpacking SA!
want to thank ryosuke for the cool pistachio t-shirt from wakayama. i love it!
surfboards are stacked all over the place at my house. just from friends leaving it here throughout the years. not it’s time to clean up so everybody better come to hawaii and pick them up.
had a super good time surfing with Niimura-san and Murakami-san. the waves were huge this day! long rides and happy faces! thanks for coming to hawaii and surfing with me!
every time surfers first jump into the water, i can see the smiles. super happy and super excited to catch their first wave. such a awesome feeling!
the time has come. i promised myself in the beginning of this year to take a backpacker trip. i’ve backpacked throughout asia and now it’s time to go the opposite way. i’m traveling light and this is all i will have for the next 13 days. i got my ticket and when i land, i’ll be lost. haha. i don’t even know where to go, what to do, and how to get around. absolutely no planning at all. this is how i use to do it and this is how i want to do it. three long flights and i’ll be in some strange country very far away. new experiences, new culture, and new friends. i can’t wait!
