today was another beautiful day here in hawaii. went out early in the morning for a short dive. no fish, but found some treasure i will keep forever! it’s amazing what you can find in the ocean!

then got too hot so went to cool down at the new Shaka Shaka Tea Express. if you haven’t noticed, Tea Cafe’s are booming here. new ones popping up at every corner. this one uses fresh fruits and it was pretty dam good!

very clean and very relaxing mode.

i ordered the avocado/taro smoothie. cost $4 or so and it was delicious. i’ll be back there again for sure. it’s located next to Nijiya Market on University Avenue. go try it!

then went for a long afternoon. planned to jump in the water for a couple waves but ended up being out there for 3 hours. did some snorkeling and lots of surfing.

Alyssa Wooten is like a niece to me. just so fun watching her grow into a famous model/surfer girl in japan. everybody loves her! i took her snorkeling, told her to look in this cool cave, and seen her eyes almost pop out of her mask when she seen the 6 sharks inside. it was hilarious! i almost choked through my snorkel laughing so much. Alyssa, welcome to shark country!

after that we surfed for a very long session. i don’t think anybody knew but there were some nice waves! shoulder high sets and uncrowded. it was so fun that we kept surfing and surfing. i can’t believe how sunburnt i am right now.

yes, a model is very easy to shoot. just point the camera and anything will look good.

this is what i’ve been driving home too everyday recently. i watch the sunsets in the ocean, then i drive home and watch the after sunsets from my house in the mountains. freaking amazing! what an awesome way to end a beautiful day. mother nature at its best!
Sunrise to Sunset to Shaka Shaka!
Crazy Markets and Crazy World!
this world is going absolutely crazy! both in nature, and also in the markets.

check out this photographer running away from an volcano eruption in sumarta, indonesia. hey, i was just there?

and a tidal wave or tsunami in china? china?

and right in our back yard, nothing stands in the way of Madam Pele’s path.

and this is the biggest news from yesterday. the yen/dollar rate went up to 114 yen per $1 usd. OMG! well, i’m not too surprised because when it went down to 75 yen/dollar back in 2011, i knew it was going to turn around and go back up. it’s the 2nd time in the past 20 years. what next? to tell you the truth, i have no idea. but if the yen ever goes back to 75 yen/dollar, i’m going to borrow $5 million worth of yen, buy dollars, wait till it goes back up to 115 yen/dollar, cash in my $1.7 million dollar earnings, retire, and live a dream life. sounds like a great plan right?
to all of you who invested lots of yen into dollars back in 2011, a big congratulations on your investment! you are very smart and very rich now!!!
